SailPass Introductory Membership

What is SailPass ?

SailPass is a means by which a non-sailing member can enjoy sailing at our Club - it's a form of introductory or short-term membership for a maximum of 23 seperate sailing days.

A SailPass also addresses the Australian Sailing racing rules & Personal insurance meaning you can come and enjoy your day!

SailPass Membership at GYC works like this:-

First three SailPasses are free and each additional SailPass costs $15. Once you have sailed 23 times, you will need to consider other membership options. Any money you spend on the Sail Pass will be used to reduce any nomination fee should you wish to upgrade your membership.

How to register

By registering your details for a SailPass you can crew on a yacht in a single race. It is important that you nominate the date or dates you will be racing so your insurance is active.

The first time you register you will receive an email with your Australian Sailing Number. Please retain your AS Number so you can renew your registration for additional race days.

If you have been a member of our club (or any club) across Australia in the past few years, your details (including Australian Sailing Number) should be in our system. If you don't know your Australian Sailing Number, you can look it up here: AS Number Finder
