Assumption of Risk

I understand and acknowledge that sailing and boating activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, property loss, or even death. I voluntarily participate in Discover Sailing Day at the Geraldton Yacht Club, fully accepting all such risks and responsibility for my own safety and the safety of any minors in my care.

Waiver and Release of Liability

In consideration of being permitted to participate in this event, I hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless the Geraldton Yacht Club, its officers, members, volunteers, instructors, and agents from any and all claims, demands, losses, or damages arising out of or connected with my participation, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Medical Fitness

I declare that I am physically fit to participate in sailing activities and have no medical conditions that could be aggravated by such participation. I consent to receive medical treatment deemed necessary in the event of injury, accident, or illness during this activity.

Supervision of Minors

If signing on behalf of a minor, I acknowledge my responsibility to ensure that the child(ren) under my care comply with all safety instructions and club rules. I understand that staff and volunteers provide general supervision but cannot personally monitor every participant at all times.

Photography and Media Consent

I consent to the use of photographs, videos, and other media taken during Discover Sailing Day for promotional or educational purposes by the Geraldton Yacht Club, without compensation.

Agreement

I have read this waiver carefully and understand its terms. I sign it voluntarily and acknowledge that by doing so I am giving up certain legal rights.
