By registering for and/or attending the Season Opening Cocktail Party ("Event") hosted by the Geraldton Yacht Club (GYC), you ("Participant" or "Guardian" if signing on behalf of a minor) agree to the following terms:

1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in the Event, while designed to be family friendly and enjoyable, may involve inherent risks including, but not limited to: slips, falls, food and beverage consumption, interaction with other attendees, and potential exposure to allergens or illnesses. I voluntarily accept and assume all such risks on behalf of myself and any minors in my care.

2. Release and Waiver of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release, waive, and discharge the Geraldton Yacht Club, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, sponsors, contractors, and affiliates from any and all liability for injury, loss, damage, or harm that may result from participation in the Event, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

3. Supervision of Minors

I understand that while the Event is promoted as family friendly, parents and guardians are solely responsible for the supervision and safety of their children at all times. GYC staff and volunteers are not responsible for supervising minors.

4. Alcohol Consumption

If I choose to consume alcohol at the Event, I certify that I am of legal drinking age and agree to do so responsibly. I understand that intoxicated behavior may result in removal from the Event at the discretion of event organizers.

5. Health and Safety

I agree to follow all applicable safety guidelines and instructions provided by GYC and event staff. I confirm that I, and any minors accompanying me, are physically able to participate in the Event activities.

6. Media Release

I give permission for GYC to use photos, video, or audio recordings taken during the Event that may include myself and/or minors in my care, for promotional or marketing purposes. If I do not consent, I will notify GYC in writing prior to the Event.

7. Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless GYC from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from my participation or the participation of minors in my care at the Event.
